Opening hours and last admission
The museum’s official visiting information lists 11:00–01:00 daily, with last admission at midnight. That last-entry time matters: closing at 01:00 does not mean you can arrive just before then. Check your selected date and ticket time before setting out.
From our address at Warmoesstraat 87, use a walking map to Oudezijds Achterburgwal 60H. Keep the museum name and house number in your directions, since the neighbourhood contains several different attractions. We suggest leaving a little extra time for finding the entrance and checking in rather than relying on an exact five-minute walk.
Tickets and what is included
The official ticket page currently displays €14.50 alongside a €17 comparison price. Treat this as the advertised offer, not a guaranteed price for every date or ticket type: select your visit and check the final total before paying. The listed inclusions cover Inga’s audio stories and a personal picture in the museum’s red-lit window.
If you already have a sightseeing pass, check the exact pass and booking conditions directly. A mention of one pass does not establish that every city card or the Museumkaart is accepted. Our accommodation discount code does not apply to museum tickets.
Age, accessibility and luggage
According to the museum FAQ, the minimum age is 16, a visit takes about 45 minutes, and the building is not wheelchair accessible. It has stairs and narrow passageways. Visitors able to continue without their wheelchair may leave it at the entrance; seating is available inside. Ask the museum about your needs if those conditions are unclear for you.
The museum has no luggage storage. For a group reservation, send the museum your preferred date, time and party size through its official enquiry route before making assumptions about capacity.
The FAQ also says tickets bought online directly can be cancelled or rescheduled up to eight hours beforehand by email. Rescheduled tickets become non-refundable, and tickets bought on site are non-refundable. Check the terms attached to your own booking, especially when buying from another seller.
What will you see inside?
The museum’s own description focuses on former working rooms, a window experience, visitor confessions and twelve audio accounts by Inga. It lists audio languages including English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish. These are personal stories about the profession, rather than a single account representing every sex worker’s experience.
We suggest taking time to listen and read, rather than treating the window photo as the whole visit. The museum presents adult material and difficult experiences as well as the neighbourhood’s commercial history. Choose it because the subject interests you; a visit is not necessary simply because you are staying nearby.
The current official information does not substantiate our earlier claim about a new 2025 virtual-reality expansion. Plan around the exhibits and inclusions listed by the museum. Its photo opportunity is inside a museum setting; outside, respect people’s privacy and do not photograph workers in their windows.
