Yes, we offer free city maps at White Tulip Hostel Amsterdam. Our facilities page lists this service. Ask our reception team for a map when you arrive and check which edition and languages are available. We have not confirmed a hostel-produced map download or a fixed schedule for updating the maps.
Where can you get a city map?
Start at reception and ask for a free city map. If you need a particular language, a large-print version or several copies for a group, contact us before arrival to check availability. The published service does not specify these formats or guarantee a particular map edition.
Mark our address, Warmoesstraat 87, 1012 HZ Amsterdam, before heading out. Save it on your phone as well, so you have a way to find your accommodation if you misplace the paper map. Our phone number is +31 (0)20 625 5974.
Can you download an Amsterdam map before arrival?
For a verified digital option, use the official I amsterdam downloadable city map. Its visitor-information page links to a PDF covering neighbourhoods, walking routes and attractions. This is an external city map, not a White Tulip publication or a confirmed copy of the map at our reception.
Save the PDF while you have internet access and open the saved file before leaving to check that it works. A saved map is useful for orientation, but it will not show live disruptions or automatically update opening hours. Our free Wi-Fi can help you prepare your route before you go out.
What should you mark on the map?
- Our address and your intended route back to the hostel.
- Your arrival or departure station, including the entrance you plan to use.
- The exact entrance of any attraction you have booked, rather than just the general neighbourhood.
- A meeting place if your group splits up, plus a backup way to contact one another.
Compare the map’s coverage with your plans. A central-city map may not include enough detail for an airport journey or a trip outside Amsterdam. For information about the nearby metro station, see our Rokin route guide.
Does the map include current transport and attraction information?
Do not treat a printed or saved map as a live timetable. Check your transport operator’s current journey information before departure, and check the attraction’s own website for opening hours, entry requirements and ticket availability. A place appearing on a map does not mean admission is free or that tickets are available that day.
Our earlier article claimed frequent updates, exclusive local tips and better coverage than other hostels’ maps. Those comparisons were not supported by identified sources. Ask our team about the map currently available and any specific route you need help with.
Planning your stay
Use the confirmed code HOSTELAMSTERDAM when checking your direct accommodation booking on Cloudbeds. Review the final price and booking conditions for your dates. The code does not establish discounts on transport or attraction tickets.
