Our Cloudbeds listings do not name a dedicated family-room category. We offer private rooms and shared dorm accommodation. If you are travelling with children, contact us before booking to confirm whether we can accommodate your party’s ages and requirements. A room having enough beds does not by itself confirm that it is suitable for your family.

Which private room layouts can you consider?
Our Cloudbeds room descriptions, checked on 12 September 2026, include the following layouts. These are accommodation descriptions, not confirmation of a child policy or availability for your dates.
| Room | Beds | Bathroom |
|---|---|---|
| Twin | 2 single beds | Shared facilities |
| Triple | 3 single beds | Shared facilities |
| Quad | 2 bunk beds, 4 sleeping places | Shared facilities |
| 5-person private ensuite | 5 single beds | Private bathroom |
| 8-person private | 4 bunk beds | Shared facilities |
| 10-person private | 5 bunk beds | Shared facilities |
See our private room comparison for the wider overview. A private bedroom keeps your booking together in its own room, but most listed private options still share bathroom facilities with other guests.
What should you confirm when travelling with children?
Send us your dates, the number of adults and children, each child’s age and the room you are considering. Ask us to confirm whether that booking is permitted and whether the room arrangement meets your needs before paying. We do not state a minimum child age here because the published information reviewed does not establish a clear general policy.
Do not assume we provide baby cots, extra beds, high chairs or a play area. If any of these is essential, ask for explicit confirmation. Likewise, tell us if stairs, an upper bunk or sharing bathroom facilities would create a problem for your party.
What should families know about the location?
We are at Warmoesstraat 87, in Amsterdam’s Red Light District, with nightlife at the doorstep and Slainte Irish Pub at the hostel. This setting matters when deciding whether our accommodation suits your trip. A private room does not guarantee a quiet environment.
Review the location as well as the beds and price. Our room photographs can help you compare layouts, but photographs do not confirm age restrictions, access arrangements or family-specific equipment.
Which practical facilities and times are confirmed?
Our property terms list free linen, free Wi-Fi and free towels available from reception. Check-in starts at 14:00 and checkout is by 10:00. We have a 24-hour front desk, but this is not a promise of room access before check-in.
There is no luggage-storage service at checkout under our published terms. Plan departure-day bags accordingly. If you arrive late, contact us: our terms say beds are held for two hours after the given arrival time. See our late-arrival guidance.
How should you make a booking?
- Contact us first if your party includes children or needs a specific arrangement.
- Once suitability is confirmed, enter the correct dates and guest details in Cloudbeds.
- Check the exact room type, bathroom arrangement, total price, payment and cancellation conditions.
- For a direct booking, use our discount code HOSTELAMSTERDAM and review the resulting offer before confirming.
Keep the booking confirmation and any written agreement about your party’s requirements. Booking separate dorm beds does not guarantee that your group will be placed together or have exclusive use of a bedroom.
Clarification for the existing video
The older video describes rooms as suitable for children, mentions two single beds plus a bunk bed, and suggests help with cots or extra beds. Those are not confirmed arrangements. Use the actual room layouts above and ask us about the ages and needs of your party before booking. The video also mentions groups up to eight people; our listings include a ten-person private option as well.
