We provide free backpack-sized lockers in the rooms at The White Tulip Hostel Amsterdam. Bring your own padlock, or get one at reception for a €5 deposit. The deposit is for the padlock; it is not a locker rental charge.
What fits in a locker?
Our direct-booking terms describe the lockers as backpack-sized. That is useful when packing, but it does not confirm that a large suitcase or every cabin bag will fit. Exact internal dimensions and the number of lockers available for your room are not specified in those terms.
If your bag’s size is important to your plans, contact us with its dimensions and your booked room type before travelling. Do not treat “backpack-sized” as a guarantee for every travel bag.
Should you bring your own padlock?
You can bring a padlock or use the reception option with a €5 deposit. If you are buying a lock specifically for your stay, ask us which size is suitable first. We have not specified a lock diameter here, so there is no need to guess.
Check the return arrangement with reception when collecting a padlock. A deposit should not be confused with a purchase price or a daily storage fee.
Can you use storage after check-out?
Luggage storage is not available at check-out, according to our direct-booking terms. Standard check-out is 10:00, so arrange your departure-day plans without relying on leaving bags at the hostel afterwards.
If you need to leave bags before checking in, ask us about that separately. The availability of room lockers does not confirm storage before your room is accessible.
