Madame Tussauds Amsterdam is approximately 450 metres from White Tulip Hostel, around six minutes on foot via Warmoesstraat and Dam. That is the Google Maps walking estimate checked on 12 September 2026, from our address at Warmoesstraat 87 to the attraction at Dam 20. Allow extra time for crowds, crossings and finding the entrance.

How do you walk there from the hostel?
From our entrance at Warmoesstraat 87, head along Warmoesstraat towards Dam Square. Continue to the Madame Tussauds entrance at Dam 20, 1012 NP Amsterdam. The attraction’s official directions place it on Dam Square between Kalverstraat and Rokin.
Open the walking route from our hostel for turn-by-turn directions. The same check showed an alternative via Warmoesstraat and Damrak at about 500 metres and seven minutes. Route estimates can change with street access and the route selected.

For a timed ticket, we suggest setting off at least ten minutes before you need to reach the entrance, with more margin if you walk slowly, travel with a group or expect busy streets. This is a planning allowance, not a promise that you will be admitted within ten minutes.
Do you need a tram, taxi or bicycle?
For this short journey, walking is a practical option if it suits your mobility. Hiring a bicycle solely for this trip also involves collecting it and finding a suitable place to park. A car route can be longer than the pedestrian route, so do not judge it from the walking distance.
If you need help with access or cannot comfortably walk this distance, check the attraction’s arrangements directly before visiting. A short route is not proof that every pavement, crossing or part of the attraction meets your access needs.
Check tickets and luggage before leaving
Use Madame Tussauds’ official visitor FAQ for opening-hour links, visit duration and luggage information. It states that suitcases and large bags cannot be left with the attraction and points visitors to external storage. Check your bag arrangements before travelling there.

Correction for the existing video
