The menu lists lunch from 11:00–16:00 and mains from 11:00–16:00 and 17:30–22:00. A chicken roti roll plus Fernandes would total €22.95 at these prices, before any extras. This is a sample order, not a set-menu deal.
Vegetarian or vegan adaptations are marked for selected dishes. For example, the pumpkin roti roll includes a boiled egg in its standard description; ask for the appropriate adaptation rather than assuming it is vegan as served. The menu provides an allergy QR code. Confirm ingredients and preparation with staff if you need to avoid an allergen.
Can you reserve a table at Waterkant?
Waterkant’s reservation policy accepts enquiries for groups of 15 people or more, for outside high tables and snacks and drinks. It explicitly excludes group dinner reservations and private events on the terrace or inside the restaurant.
If you are organising an outing for a dorm group, send the venue your date, arrival time and headcount and wait for confirmation. An enquiry alone does not secure tables. Smaller parties should check current walk-in arrangements rather than assume they can book through the group policy. For a sit-down dinner with a large group, choose a venue that confirms that type of booking.
Atmosphere, terrace and evening plans
Waterkant says on its about and contact page that it opened in 2014 and takes inspiration from the Waterkant waterfront in Paramaribo. The Amsterdam venue is on the Singelgracht canal; do not confuse it with the similarly named Waterkant in The Hague when looking up menus or directions.
For a sunny afternoon, the waterside setting is part of the appeal. For a wet or cold day, check what seating is available and dress for the weather. We would not base a visit on a guarantee of a sheltered terrace or a particular table. Friday and Saturday late-night opening makes it an option after dinner, but check the actual programme before expecting a specific DJ, dance night or workshop.

Plan your route from our address, Warmoesstraat 87, to Marnixstraat 246. Use current walking or public-transport directions for your departure time. Allow extra time if you want to stop along the canals; an old fixed walking estimate or tram number is not a reliable plan for every visit.
We suggest deciding whether this is a lunch trip, a group drinks booking or a late evening out before you leave. Check food times for a meal, confirm group arrangements in advance, and look up your return route if staying until closing.
