Our reception is open 24 hours. You can therefore plan an arrival outside ordinary daytime hours, while keeping the arrival date and conditions of your reservation in mind. Round-the-clock reception does not mean your room is ready at any time: standard check-in starts at 14:00.
Arriving during the night
Keep your booking confirmation available and contact us if your journey changes the arrival time you supplied. Give the reservation name, booking reference and revised arrival time so your message clearly identifies the stay concerned. Our Cloudbeds terms say beds are held for two hours after the stated arrival time and that you must contact us if delayed. Ask us to confirm the updated arrangements.
An arrival after midnight also needs the correct booking date. For example, arriving at 01:00 on Tuesday is different from arriving for Tuesday afternoon check-in. Confirm the reservation you need before travelling instead of assuming a daytime booking provides access the preceding night.
Arriving early or leaving later
Our standard check-in and checkout times are 14:00 and 10:00 respectively. A staffed desk does not guarantee access to a room before check-in or permission to keep it after checkout.
We do not provide luggage storage at checkout. If you expect to arrive before 14:00 and need somewhere for bags, check the pre-check-in arrangements with us separately. See our arrival and departure guide for the full timeline.
The reception hours and standard times are listed in our official booking information.
When booking directly, you can use code HOSTELAMSTERDAM. Check the displayed price and conditions before confirming.
Correction to our older reception video
The older video below says we do not have 24-hour reception and describes an after-hours access system. That contradicts our current Cloudbeds information: our reception is open 24 hours. Do not rely on the older video for reception hours or access instructions.
The older brochure lists 10:00 or 10:30 for checkout. Use the current 10:00 time above. Older PDF brochure.
