Our twin, triple, quad, six-person, eight-person and ten-person private room listings have shared bathroom facilities. Shared facilities are also specified for several dorm types. A private bedroom therefore does not automatically mean a private bathroom. Our five-person private ensuite is a different option with its own bathroom.
Which private rooms have shared facilities?
These details follow our Cloudbeds room descriptions, checked on 12 September 2026. They describe room types; enter your dates to see availability.

For example, reserving our eight-person private room gives your booking its own bedroom with four bunk beds. The bathroom remains shared with other guests. The same distinction applies to the twin: two separate single beds in a private bedroom, with shared facilities.
Which dorm listings specify shared facilities?
Cloudbeds explicitly describes shared facilities for the four-person mixed dorm, seven-person mixed dorm, ten-person shared room and fourteen-person mixed dorm. The ten-person dorm description specifies five bunk beds. Check the selected listing carefully: the ten-person shared room and ten-person private room are separate booking options even though both describe five bunk beds and shared facilities.
Do not infer the bathroom arrangement only from a dorm’s capacity or a photograph. Some short room descriptions contain less detail than others. If the option you are considering does not clearly state its bathroom arrangement, ask us before booking.
What does shared bathroom mean for your stay?
It means the bathroom is used by other guests and is not reserved exclusively for your bedroom. It does not, by itself, specify the bathroom’s exact location, the number of showers, or how many people will use it during your stay. We do not give a fixed guest-to-bathroom ratio here because those details are not established by the room listings.
If access without stairs, a particular bathroom location or another specific arrangement is essential, contact us with the room name and your travel dates before paying. Shared facilities and a shared bedroom are two separate things: you can book a private bedroom while still sharing the bathroom.
Which option has a private bathroom?
Our five-person private ensuite listing specifies five single beds and private bathroom facilities, with a view over the Oude Kerk. It is a different room type from the private rooms in the table. Check whether it is offered for your actual dates and guest count; do not assume its price or conditions match another private room.
