We do not promise that a particular weekday, booking window or platform always produces the lowest price. Availability and rates can change until a reservation is confirmed.
Choose a dorm bed or a whole private room
A bed in a shared dormitory gives you one sleeping place in a room shared with other guests. A private room gives your booking exclusive use of that bedroom, but does not automatically include a private bathroom.

These descriptions do not establish availability for your dates. Check the exact room name and whether the displayed price covers one bed, one room, one night or the entire stay. Compare the total price and the same conditions
When comparing Cloudbeds with another booking platform, keep dates, guest count, room type and cancellation terms identical. Include any selected extras, taxes and charges in the comparison. A cheaper non-refundable rate is a different commitment from a rate with cancellation flexibility.
The City of Amsterdam lists tourist tax at 12.5% of the overnight price excluding VAT. Our Cloudbeds property terms state that city tax is excluded from bookings and payable on arrival. Check the actual breakdown to see what has already been collected and what remains due. The old figures of 7% plus €3 per person per night do not describe the current city-tax rate.
For a fair comparison, write down three amounts: the complete accommodation cost, the amount payable when booking and the balance due at the property. A deposit is not automatically an extra charge on top of the stay; read how the selected booking applies it. We do not claim that every platform requires the same deposit percentage.

The code is retained as our confirmed accommodation promotion. We do not publish a fixed discount percentage or promise that it always beats every third-party rate. It also does not automatically add breakfast, pub-crawl admission or extra bar discounts.
Read payment and cancellation details before confirming
Review the rate-specific terms shown during booking, including payment timing, cancellation charges and any non-refundable amount. Our general Cloudbeds terms describe a 72-hour cancellation policy, but give differing wording for the starting time of that period. If the exact deadline could affect your plans, ask us to confirm it in writing for your reservation rather than assuming a cutoff.
Keep your booking reference, confirmation, total price and terms. When contacting us about an existing reservation, include your name, dates and reference. Our property terms say a cancellation is processed when you receive a personal confirmation reply; simply sending a request is not confirmation of cancellation.
Budget for what you will actually need
Our Cloudbeds terms list free Wi-Fi, linen and towels available at reception. Backpack-sized room lockers are free to use; bring a padlock or ask reception for one against a €5 deposit. These are more useful budget details than assuming a towel-rental charge.
Plan separately for optional purchases and your arrival and departure arrangements. Check-in starts at 14:00 and checkout is by 10:00. Our terms state that luggage storage is not available at checkout, so do not build a late-departure plan around leaving bags with us. Read our luggage guidance before arranging your final day.
Our central Warmoesstraat location is close to nightlife. A private room provides bedroom privacy, not a guarantee of silence. If stairs or a particular bed arrangement could affect your stay, discuss the requirement before booking.
Clarification for the existing video
The older video mentions prices starting at a few euros and guarantees the best direct rates without extra fees. We do not confirm those claims.
