Before booking around a match, confirm whether you are attending a stadium fixture or watching a broadcast, and check the arrangements for that specific event. A hostel reservation does not guarantee a rugby screening or a seat in the pub.
Watching rugby at Slainte
Our official Slainte page confirms live sports, food and drinks at the pub connected with our hostel at Warmoesstraat 87. Contact us with the teams, competition, date and Amsterdam kickoff time to ask whether your match will be shown.
For a group, ask about seating and when to arrive. We do not promise coverage of every competition, a fixed number of screens, or a themed rugby party. Check kitchen hours separately if you want food before or after the match.
Attending a match in person
Use the venue on your event ticket as your destination. For example, Rugby Nederland lists the Nationaal Rugby Centrum Amsterdam at Bok de Korverweg 6, 1067 HR Amsterdam. That is a different address from our city-centre hostel at Warmoesstraat 87.
Do not assume a rugby ground is a short walk from the hostel just because the match is described as being in Amsterdam. Check the actual route, travel time and return options for your match day, and include time for entry. The event organiser’s information should determine the venue and kickoff time; we do not provide a match ticket or stadium transfer through an ordinary room booking.

Plan your arrival, bags and departure
Our Cloudbeds terms give check-in from 14:00 and checkout by 10:00. If travel is delayed, contact us: beds are held for two hours after the given arrival time. Do not rely on the 24-hour staff presence as permission to arrive later without notice.
The same terms say luggage storage is not available at checkout. Arrange your bags separately if a match is after checkout. For a playing squad with bulky kit, ask about your requirements before booking; ordinary backpack-sized room lockers are not a promise of team-equipment storage or drying facilities.
Keep accommodation and bar savings separate
Use our confirmed accommodation code HOSTELAMSTERDAM when checking direct rates, then review the displayed total and terms. We do not guarantee a €25 nightly rate, a special rugby-team discount or the cheapest price across every platform.
Cloudbeds separately advertises a 15% guest discount on bar food and drinks and a Heineken two-for-one happy-hour offer. Confirm current conditions and whether offers combine before ordering. Will it suit the kind of weekend you want?
Slainte can be a place to meet other travellers, but we cannot promise a group of fellow rugby supporters on your dates. Our central nightlife location may be lively. A private room provides bedroom privacy rather than guaranteed silence.
Our house rules ask guests to keep noise down after 22:00. A group booking or a match celebration does not waive those rules. Contact our team with your dates and practical requirements before organising a stay around the game.
